Dino Game
The Chrome Dino Game, which was also referred to as the T-Rex Runner, was developed by the user experience design team of Google Chrome in the year 2014. The idea came from Alan Bettes, Edward Jung, and Sebastian Gabriel, all of whom were developers at Google. They intended to come up with something entertaining that could divert customers' attention in the event that their Internet connection was interrupted.
There was more than just a random selection of the character. The dino game was initially referred to as "Project Bolan" as a lighthearted homage to Marc Bolan, the lead singer of the band T. Rex. It was a symbol of returning "back to the prehistoric ages" during a time when, you guessed it, there was no Internet.
